about

SemioTech was founded by Amy Khoshbin and Michael Clemow in 2007 while finishing their masters’ degrees from NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program at Tisch. Using custom-built performance tools and techniques, ranging from wearable technologies to software to sculptural objects, Semiotech explores performance languages and immersive technologically-enhanced performance art.
Our work has been shown at Exit Art, The Tank, Issue Project Room, Diapason, Participant Gallery, Maurice Kanbar Institute of Film & Television, and South by Southwest among others. To read some of the writing Semiotech has done on perception & technology, go here.
